Hi! My name is Werneri!
I run a nationwide ski school and I specialize in teaching children. You can meet me at over thirty Finnish ski resorts. My goal is to teach children to be versatile and multifaceted skiers. Join me!
A good age for starting to learn how to ski is when you are 4 years old. Children learn to know their equipment, the ski resort and ski lifts, in addition to learning how to ski with other children. The ski area rules and regulations are an essential part of this course. You learn to turn your skis and control your speed. Enjoy skiing, have fun and improve your skills.
Speed Werneri is for children, who know how to use the lifts and the ski resort. Skiing and practicing on different slopes will improve your balance and skills. Speed Werneri children are typically 7-10 years old, but age is not a limiting factor.
Slalom and Giant Slalom courses!
You can also learn to ski gates with Werneri. Skiing gates is fun and a real challenge for anybody. The skiers on this course are already good skiers, who are eager to learn more. The skiers on this course are usually 8-12 years of age. Some of the children continue racing and join ski teams after this experience.
Freeride is about NewSchool, rails and pipe for children. The Freeride participants also learn the basic techniques of mogul skiing and of doing small jumps. This is a program for teenagers, who want to challenge themselves. Your balance and body control will improve and also – if possible, your enthusiasm for skiing.
The Snowboard Course is a way to have fun – and simultaneously challenge yourself. We start from the basics– and continue improving your skills both on the ski slopes and on the parks and streets. You may also try jumping with Werneri. We recommend this course for those who have turned 8 years old.
