Lakis Ski centre is located in the municipality of Vimpeli in the lake area of Southern Ostrobothnia, on the east coast of beautiful Lappajärvi, in the middle of the Vatpakka, Lakeaharju and Pyhävuori mountains.

Wonderful views open up over the lake from the peak of Lakis and the cottage village. The pleasant caravan site is located close to the lower station, from which a lit 15km ski route leaves with 3 shelters along the route. The slope caferia Väli-lasku, with its delicious grilled products, soft drinks and coffee etc are always open when the slopes are. In the dusky weekend evenings, Väli-lasku is converted into an after-ski karaoke restaurant with an A-license.

It is also nice to make a days trek into the Vindala Mountains, from the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia, about 1 hrs drive from the centre.

Lakis has three long slopes 600-750 m and a children’s slope 100 m.
