Introduction

The most Northern European cup ever in Ruka, Finland. The unique contest will include Freeski & Snowboard Slopestyle European Cup.

Entries

The entries for this event must be done on the FIS online entry system before March 16th, 2023
Entries will be accepted from the National Associations in accordance with the official FIS Entry System within the FIS quotas for EC.

All competition participants (including competitors and officials) must report to the Race Office for accreditation before proceeding to the venue. Competition entry fee will be collected upon check-in – payment is only possible by credit or debit card.

The minimum requirement to participate in Ruka European Cup is 10 FIS points or 75 WSPL points.

Entry Fee is 50 € / competitor. To be paid at race office on arrival day.

Transportation

Teams are responsible for booking their own transportations. Please visit www.ruka.fi for different options. The nearest airports are Kuusamo airport (30km), Rovaniemi airport (200km) and Oulu airport (250km)

Accommodations and skipasses

Teams are responsible for booking their own accommodations. Accommodation, with a discount of -15%, for athletes and team officials is provided in Ruka Ski-Inn units, located in the immediate closeness of the ski area. The discount is valid for the whole stay.

Dining, half-board 34,50 € / person / day (incl. breakfast & dinner), full board 52,30 € / person / day (incl. breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Ski passes, with a discount of -40%, during the official training & competition days of 27.-29.3.2023, cost 29,70 € / person / day. Must be ordered in advance!

All accommodation, food and ski pass reservations must be done directly to Ruka Ski Resort in advance.

Each Team will pay all their accommodation, meals and ski pass expenses, directly in advance to Ruka Ski Resort, via their electronic system. Competition organizer is not in responsible for these.

First Team Captains Meeting

The first team captains’ meeting will be held at the Race Office on Sunday (March. 26th) at 19:00 PM.

Bibs and Helmets

All competitors must wear bibs and helmets through official training and competitions. A sanction will be given to competitors who do not wear their bibs.

Accident Insurance & Protocol

Every competitor must be medically insured on their own. The Organising Committee, sponsors, suppliers, agents, employees and volunteers, the FIS, and Finnish snowboard association decline any responsibility for accidents or damaged equipment during the training and competitions. In case of accidents on courses during the event, medical personnel from the Organising Committee and Ski Patrol will be responsible for any medical decision or evacuation to a local hospital.

Liability

All Athletes, officials, and other members of their National Association who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. The Organizing Committee, sponsors, suppliers, their agents, employees and volunteers, the FIS, and Finnish snowboard association shall not be held responsible for any losses or injuries incurred or suffered by any athlete, official, or another person with the organization or staging of the event. All participants are urged not to be negligent in always safeguarding their personal belongings.

This program is preliminary and unofficial. The final program will be adapted to the rider’s amount and weather.
